AADS Upgrade Steps from Version 7.1.6 to 10.x

Don't skip Upgrade Steps!
In case of an AADS Cluster. Steps have to be done on both Servers. Services can only be be started if both Server have been upgraded!

to Version 8.0

cd ~
tar -zxf ucapp-system-3.4.2.0.10.tgz
sudo ./update.sh --stage
rm -rf ucapp-system-3.4.2.0.10.* capp-system-3.4.2.0.10
exit
sysUpdate --install
chmod 755  aads-8.0.0.0.268.bin
app upgrade aads-8.0.0.0.268.bin
svc aads restart
app removeinactive
chmod 755 aads-8.0.0.1.2.bin
app upgrade aads-8.0.0.1.2.bin
svc aads restart

to Version 8.0.1

tar -zxf ucapp-system-3.4.3.0.7.tgz
cd ucapp-system-3.4.3.0.7
sudo ./update.sh --stage
rm -rf ucapp-system-3.4.3.0.7 ucapp-system-3.4.3.0.7.tgz
sudo vi /etc/selinux/config #permissive
sudo reboot
sysUpdate --install
chmod 755 aads-8.0.1.0.1026.bin
app removeinactive
app upgrade aads-8.0.1.0.1026.bin
svc aads restart

to Version 8.0.2

tar -zxf ucapp-system-3.4.3.0.12.tgz
cd ucapp-system-3.4.3.0.12
sudo ./update.sh --stage
rm -rf ucapp-system-3.4.3.0.12 ucapp-system-3.4.3.0.12.tgz
sudo vi /etc/selinux/config #permissive
sudo reboot
sysUpdate --install
chmod 755 aads-8.0.2.0.288.bin
app removeinactive
app upgrade aads-8.0.2.0.288.bin
svc aads restart

to Version 8.1.3

Deploy AADS 8.1.3 ova #on old Master Host

app backup -t -d /home/admin recover

#copy Backup File of both AADS to local PC #shutdown old AADS

#Start new AADS Servers 8.1.3 # Copy Recover Backup and aads-8.1.3.0.310.bin to new Servers

chmod 755 aads-8.1.3.0.312.bin

# Make VM SNAPSHOT #on Primary Seed Node

sudo /home/admin/aads-8.1.3.0.312.bin -- --migrate /home/admin/recover_ucaads11.tar.zip
sudo /opt/Avaya/DeviceServices/8.1.3.0.312/CAS/8.1.3.0.312/misc/finishUpgrade.sh
sudo /opt/Avaya/DeviceServices/8.1.3.0.312/CAS/8.1.3.0.312/bin/upgrade.sh 8.1.3.0.312
svc aads restart

to Version 8.1.4

tar -zxf ucapp-system-3.5.0.0.8.tgz
cd ucapp-system-3.5.0.0.8.tgz
sudo ./update.sh --stage
rm -rf ucapp-system-3.5.0.0.8 ucapp-system-3.5.0.0.8.tgz

##sudo vi /etc/selinux/config #permissive

sudo reboot
sysUpdate --install
chmod 755 aads-8.1.4.0.165.bin
app removeinactive
app upgrade aads-8.1.4.0.165.bin
svc aads restart

to Version 8.1.5

!!!!!!Session and System Manager need to be at least at Version 8.1.3!!!!!!

tar -zxf ucapp-system-3.5.0.0.14.tgz
cd ucapp-system-3.5.0.0.14
sudo ./update.sh --stage
rm -rf ucapp-system-3.5.0.0.14 ucapp-system-3.5.0.0.14.tgz

##sudo vi /etc/selinux/config #permissive

sudo reboot
sysUpdate --install
chmod 755 a aads-8.1.5.0.280.bin
app removeinactive
app upgrade aads-8.1.5.0.280.bin
svc aads restart

to Version 10.1.0

If Utility Server is used take a Backup of the existing Configuration. Screenshot installed Phone Software. It must reinstalled manually after migration!

Deploy AADS 10.1.0 ova
on old Master Host

app backup -t -d /home/admin recover

copy Backup File of both AADS to local PC
shutdown old AADS

Start new AADS Servers 10.1.0 Copy Recover Backup new Servers Make VM SNAPSHOT on Primary Seed Node

tmux
app install -- --migrate /home/admin/recover_ucaads11.tar.zip
sudo /opt/Avaya/DeviceServices/10.1.0.0.120/CAS/10.1.0.0.120/misc/finishUpgrade.sh
svc aads restart
chmod 755 aads-fixDRSReplication.bin
sudo ./aads-fixDRSReplication.bin -- --install

to Version 10.2.0.0.70

gzip -cd ucapp-system-4.0.0.0.7.tgz | tar xvf -
cd ucapp-system-4.0.0.0.7
sudo ./update.sh --stage
rm -rf ucapp-system-4.0.0.0.7.tgz ucapp-system-4.0.0.0.7
sysUpdate --install

After Reboot:

svc aads stop
av-update-os AV-AADS10.1-RHEL8.4-SSP-002-04.tar.bz2

After Reboot:

av-update-os AV-AADS10.1-RHEL8.4-SSP-006-02.tar.bz2

After Reboot:

svc aads start
app configure  ##Goto: Clustering Configuration\Cluster Utilities\Configure SSH RSA Public/Private Keys
chmod 755 /home/admin/aads-10.2.0.0.70.bin
app upgrade /home/admin/aads-10.2.0.0.70.bin
svc aads restart
sudo ./us-http-port.sh --enable
